Battling the evil within.
Stoic. to all observing eyes.

Transient effervescence of joys,
instantly fades.
Like twinkling fireflies,
casting deeper shadows.

Captured and alone.
Locked in a prison of thoughts.
Unable to pray for mercy,
from demons of my own making.
