Painful Recitation

deep set red eyes
lurking on a cursed
tortured soul,
feeding on thoughts of recluse
drained of exhaustion
letting go of the pain
reliving old wounds
whirring of an old ceiling fan
indicating time..
not bothering to stop
not horrified...
peacefully moving on
too broken to notice..
a tightening embrace
slowly healing..
eyes sting with tears
an ache longing to be released..
fade in....
fade out..
